Cristian Baita

Welcome to IndyVision! My name is Cristian Baita and I am a software engineer & an enthusiast programmer. This is the place where I post some of the programming issues I encountered in my work and the ways I’ve dealt with them to make my life (and hopefully others’) a bit easier.

I will also try to post about certain programming/software process topics that I think programmers (especially beginners) should take into account. My first posts will actually be Android-related, as I’ve started programming for Android, but I hope I’ll have the time to visit other areas too, like iOS, Bada, QT and even specialized frameworks (some game engines would be probably nice to meet here). Also some back-end tutorials may be of use.

I graduated the Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and IT (“Polytechnical” University of Bucharest, Romania) in 2006, specializing in Information Engineering. During the last 16 years I’ve worked with many programming and scripting languages, from BASIC and Pascal, C, C++, .NET, C#, and so on – to Perl, JS, Python and Java.

I have programmed applications related to computer-aided educational processes, graphics, animation, physics simulation, artificial intelligence, audio-video/signal processing, conferencing, databases, games, packet filtering/manipulation on networks, signaling servers, testing environments, socializing, sharing, game engines, accesories management, selling platforms, analytics etc. Also I’ve managed complete projects, teams and promotion from specs, design and architecture phases till releases or collaborated with other companies in such projects.

I’m interested in AI, graphics/animation, software design, but also in rock music, guitars, mountain hiking and travels.

You can get in touch with me at this e-mail address.

Hello, my name is Alex and I am currently studying Computer Science at the University of Bucharest. I will write here some interesting issues I’ve encountered while working and the solutions I’ve come up with for them.

Most of the posts will be about Android, C# and Java. One of my hobbies is game development so I’ll also post some game dev tutorials (we will cover C++ with OpenGL and C# with XNA).

Hi, my name is Iustin and I’m a student at the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics, University of Bucharest. I will post here tutorials on how to solve some common issues in iOS, using Objective C or Swift. I like coming up with simple and short solutions to problems, so you may find them helpful, no matter your experience.
